The Weekender: May 8-10, 2015

My heart is so full after such an amazing weekend spent with Joe, family, and friends.  Friday night started off with a cookout at Mom's house to celebrate Mothers' Day and my brother's 25th birthday.  Mom and Greg grilled steaks and fixed veggies.  We divulged in some Oreo Ice Cream Cake after we worked off our food from playing some corn hole.  Braden and Stacey won all rounds, so they are the champs.  Joe hadn't ever really played before, so we had to teach him the rules a bit.

Saturday morning I woke up and headed to Huntersville to visit Catherine and her sweet mama.  Buddy was so excited to be able to play with Ollie.  When I arrived, Sara had a "birthday gift" for me and it was a precious picture of Catherine at 1 month old and in the birthday card, I got asked to be Catherine's God Mother.  I was so excited!!!!!  I can't wait to be a role model for her, teach her lessons, love on her, spoil her, and the works :) After I opened my gift, we headed out to lunch at Bravo.  I decided to do brunch, and boy was it delicious. Enjoyed spending time with Sara and sweet Catherine

Saturday evening Joe and I went over to a cookout at my BIG's Brooke's house. I finally got see Nora and man had she grown. Joe had been dying to go to Bowman Gray since it got rained out opening night, so we headed to Winston. My man was in heaven, he had the biggest grin on his face when we arrived.

Sunday we went to church with mom and then Joe left to spend time with his mom and I headed to my grandmas for a cookout. Granny and Papa fixed hotdogs and yes, I had some strawberry shortcake. The evening ended with grocery shopping, meal prepping, and being lazy!!!

I am so blessed to have an amazing boyfriend, family, friends, and now God-daughter. I will continue to cherish these moments and look forward to many more!
